apibrėžtis Technikas, kuris, dažniausiai gamybos metodų inžinieriaus vadovaujamas, atlieka techninio pobūdžio darbą, susijusį su įvairių gamybos operacijų ciklo ir trukmės nustatymu. Jis nagrinėja darbo brėžinius, gamybos specifikacijas ir numatomų gaminti gaminių prototipus, nustato gamybos, surinkimo ir kitokias operacijas, kurios būtinos gaminiui pagaminti. Atsižvelgdamas į gamybos metodus, medžiagas ir naudojamą įrangą, jis nustato atitinkamų operacijų ciklą ir trukmę, parengia išsamias gamybos operacijų sekų ir trukmių lenteles.
